Laton Palmer, President

Laton Palmer has over 20 years of experience in telecommunication sales and management.  Throughout his career, Laton has sold technology solutions (TDM, SONET, DWDM, ATM, Wireless, security, switching and reuting) to both carrier and enterprise customers.

Before launching PalmerHill in 2006, Laton held various sales and engineering management positions, most recently as AVP of Sales at Ciena Communications, within GE, NEC America, Newbridge Networks, and Ciena Communications. In those positions, he sold SONET, CWDM, DWDM transport, routing, and switching products to the RBOCs and other clients throughout the Americas.

Having worked with clients in Brazil, the Netherlands, Russia, France, the U.K, Mexico, and Canada, Laton has become an expert in cross-cultural communications and negotiations. He uses these skills to help clients build market share in targetted regions. His many contacts in the telecommunications industry allow him to gain access to the highest-level decision makers.

In addition to selling, Laton has managed the deployment of over thirty customer networks.

Laton has successfully managed both carrier and enterprise sales team in North America and other worldwide markets.  He is currently working with UBiqube Solutions, BTI, and MRV and others to develop sales for their solutions in the Americas.

Laton has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brown University, Providence, RI
